Green initiatives from emerginC
- Together with PLANT-IT 2020, for every emerginC product sold in retail format, we plant a viable, native tree in a non-harvest location.
- For every product sold, we are removing 100 grams of plastic from the sea in partnership with CleanHub.
- We incorporate glass, biodegradable resin caps and sugarcane-based plastics in our product packaging.
- Whenever possible, we incorporate fair trade ingredients into our products. Our fair trade ingredients include aloe, shea butter, green tea, coconut oil, cocoa butter and olive oil.
- We partner with carbonfund.org to reduce our carbon footprint.
- About 80% of our products are manufactured with wind energy.
- Leaflets and product boxes are manufactured with paper from sustainably managed forests.
- Orders shipped via UPS are shipped using the carbon-neutral shipping option.
emerginC packaging
As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce fossil fuel use and reduce our carbon footprint, we are constantly working to improve our packaging choices. Our sustainable packaging includes glass jars with caps made from biodegradable resin, bottles made from sustainably grown Brazilian sugarcane plastic and other biodegradable materials. We are constantly working to reduce our plastic use with the active goal of being completely plastic-free.

emerginC has so far helped plant 1.2 million trees in Nepal and Madagascar. This has already erased its own ecological footprint. The emerginC products themselves naturally contain no parabens, synthetic perfumes and colors or animal substances. In addition, they are not tested on animals and the packaging consists of certified sustainable paper using non-toxic vegetable-based inks.
