STAY-C® 50 FOR REDUCING ACNE
Skin blemishes and inflammation can be caused by many factors, including the growth of bacteria from Proprionibacterium acnes and peroxidation of sebum. The table below shows a study of the effect of 5% Stay-C® 50 or 5% benzoyl peroxide on active pimples and spots. Volunteers, divided into two groups of 30 people, applied either STAY-C®50 or 5% benzoyl peroxide to facial skin twice daily for 12 weeks.

Images show reduction of UV-induced ROS (reactive oxygen species) 3 hours after test emulsion application. Compared to the SPF 8 control formulation, the addition of 2.5% vitamin E acetate leads to a 23% reduction in ROS levels. The combination of 2.5% Stay-C®50 and 2%Acetate reduces ROS by almost 50%. STAY-C®50 not only reduces harmful free radicals, but also helps to increase skin firmness. Synthesis of collagen type I and II in connective tissue cells is demonstrated in volunteers using STAY-C®50 emulsion.
