8. How do I know which emerginC products are right for my skin?

Start with what your skin needs right now. Think about hydration, sensitivity, pigmentation, blemishes, skin aging or loss of firmness.

A good basic routine usually consists of a gentle cleanser, a targeted serum, moisturizer and sunscreen during the day. From there, you can expand your routine with, for example, an exfoliator, mask or additional treatment. Our routines and advice are structured in clear steps. 

9. In what order should I use my skincare products?

As a general rule, work from lighter to richer textures:

Cleanser → toner → serum → eye care → cream → SPF

In the evening, leave out the SPF and, depending on your skin, you can add a treatment such as retinol. An oil or occlusive product such as BLEND is usually used as the final step. See our Routines. 

10. Can I combine emerginC with other skincare brands?

Yes. You do not have to replace your entire routine all at once. emerginC products can easily be part of an existing skincare routine.

Pay particular attention when combining different powerful active ingredients. More active ingredients do not automatically mean better results. You should always be especially careful with acids. Over-treating the skin is worse than doing too little. 

11. Can I use vitamin C and retinol together?

You can, but not every skin type tolerates multiple active ingredients at the same time. A simple routine is vitamin C in the morning and retinol in the evening.

12. Can I use emerginC Vitamin C Serum during the day?

Yes. Vitamin C is an excellent addition to your morning routine. emerginC Vitamin C Serum was developed to help protect the skin against oxidative stress and helps promote a more even, radiant complexion. Our special vitamin complex even provides UV protection with an SPF of *, and it is safe to use in the sun because it is much less acidic than conventional ascorbic acid. 

Always use good sunscreen during the day as the final step in your routine.

13. Which emerginC products are suitable for redness and sensitive skin?

For reactive skin, the focus is on calming, hydrating and supporting the skin barrier. Within emerginC, the D-Red serums, Active Hydrating Complex, Hyper-Vitalizer Cream and various gentle cleansers are interesting options.

The best combination depends on the cause and severity of the redness.

14. Which products are suitable for pigmentation and dark spots?

For pigmentation, we recommend a combination of antioxidants, ingredients that support an even skin tone, regular gentle exfoliation and, above all, daily sun protection.

Vitamin C plays an essential role in this kind of routine. Consistency is more important than aggressive treatment when addressing pigmentation. The retinol serum in the evening is also recommended for stubborn pigmentation spots. 

15. Which products are suitable for pimples and blemishes?

Choose effective but non-aggressive cleansing, lightweight hydration and targeted exfoliation. The goal is to keep pores clean without disrupting the skin barrier.

Even blemish-prone or oily skin needs hydration; drying out the skin can actually make things worse. See our advice. 

16. How long does it take to see results?

You may notice some effects, such as softer and better-hydrated skin, quickly. Changes in skin texture, pigmentation and fine lines, for example, take more time and consistent use.

Good skincare is not a quick fix. Think of it as daily care that supports your skin in the long term, helps prevent problems and is ultimately the best investment in healthy, beautiful skin. 

17. Why do some emerginC creams come in a jar?

Not every ingredient is equally sensitive to oxygen and light, and not every formula is suitable for pump packaging. The packaging is therefore matched to the product’s composition, stability and texture.

When using a jar, we always recommend using clean, dry hands or a spatula and closing the lid securely after use.

18. How long do emerginC products remain good after opening?

Look for the PAO symbol on the packaging: the open jar with, for example, 6M, 12M or 24M indicates how many months the product can be used after opening.

Preferably store skincare in a cool, dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and heat.

Pregnancy & skin conditions

19. Which emerginC products can I use during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Many simple hydrating and nourishing products can be used during pregnancy, but extra caution is advisable with certain active ingredients.

Products containing retinoids are generally not recommended during pregnancy. If in doubt, discuss your skincare routine with your doctor or midwife, and feel free to contact us for information about the ingredients in a specific emerginC product. Switch to the regular vitamin C serum instead of the 20%. We recommend Rawceuticals Clean as a cleanser, which is also pleasant to apply to your belly. As a cream, our pregnant customers usually use Hyper vitalizer cream. 

20. Can I use emerginC if I have rosacea, eczema or other skin problems?

Sensitive skin can benefit greatly from a simple, calming routine, but rosacea and eczema are medical skin conditions. Cosmetic skincare does not cure these conditions but may help manage symptoms. 

Avoid over-exfoliating highly reactive skin and introduce active ingredients carefully. If you have active or severe symptoms, we recommend consulting a doctor or dermatologist.

21. Why does emerginC use glass?

The best packaging depends on the product. Glass is attractive, highly recyclable, and suitable for many formulas, but it is not practical or technically ideal for every application.

Where plastic is functionally the better choice, emerginC looks for more conscious alternatives, including packaging made with material derived from sugarcane.

22. What is sugarcane-derived plastic?

This is plastic made partly from a renewable raw material derived from sugarcane instead of exclusively from fossil-based raw materials. It offers the protective properties skincare requires, while taking a more conscious approach to material selection.

23. Is emerginC’s packaging recyclable?

Many packaging components can be recycled, but the options vary by material and by municipality or country. Separate components where possible and follow local recycling guidelines.

24. What does emerginC do for oceans, trees, and bees?

For emerginC, sustainability also means giving something back. That is why the brand works with initiatives focused on, among other things, reducing plastic pollution, restoring and planting trees, and supporting bees and biodiversity. For every product sold, you plant a tree and remove 100 grams of ocean plastic.

25. Why does emerginC use FSC-certified paper and plant-based inks?

Packaging is part of a product’s overall impact. FSC-certified paper supports responsible forest management, and where possible, emerginC chooses plant-based inks and more conscious packaging materials.

26. Which countries do you ship to?

Through emerginc.eu we ship to the Netherlands and most other European countries. At checkout, you will automatically see whether delivery to your country is possible and which shipping options are available.

27. What are the shipping costs?

Shipping costs depend on the destination country and the value of your order. The current shipping costs are clearly displayed at checkout before payment. From 95 euros, shipping is free within the Netherlands, and for the rest of Europe, the threshold is 150 euros. 

28. How quickly will my order be shipped?

Your order is processed the same day. The current estimated delivery time for your destination is displayed during the ordering process. As a rule, delivery takes 1-2 business days within the Netherlands and 2-4 business days outside the Netherlands. 

29. Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation with Track & Trace information, if available.

30. What should I do if my order arrives damaged?

We will be happy to resolve this for you. Take photos of the package, the packaging, and the damaged product, and contact us as soon as possible, stating your order number.

31. Can I return my order?

32. Can I return an opened skincare product?

For reasons of hygiene and product safety, different return conditions apply to opened cosmetic products. In principle, we do not accept them as returns.  Therefore, please review our current return conditions before returning the product or contact us.
